Electronic mosquito Trap

This is an advanced version of the earlier mosquito bat.
The charger cum torch (of led type) assembly is coupled to bat unit using a threaded plastic couple.
The charging and the using the unit as torch can be done after decoupling the units.
Thus no question of falling during charging.
Costs Rs. 170 in Mumbai.
The torch gives sufficient light.Worth for a try.

automatic washing machine

whirlpool 700s... the automatic washing machine.

i bought this machine a few months back for rs 17,000
and installed in my home in kerala. last week it failed.
water not filling. we called the service people. they came
after 3 solid days.

the diagnosis: wrong usage.
not using stabiliser.
not using the special powder.
the solution : buy both from the service firm at a cost of
rupees two thousand plus.
i said no and they said dire consequences ( to the machine ,
luckily not me)

i said repair the fault or allow me to complain.
they grumbled and did something. the machine is working
for the last 3 days. no idea what is in store as i declined their
persistent offer of the stabiliser and the powder.

i chose whirlpool among at least five competing brands for
its international reputation. but i did not realilse that local
set up is the most important factor.

wireless door bell .... good

comes in two pieces . the switch can be placed on the gate. this works on a small cell. the main piece works on mains. this can be plugged in anywhere inside the house . ( range is 50 metres ). no need for wires . bell music is selectable. worked good for the last two weeks.
price rs 150/- . worth a try

mosquito killer bat ... no good

mosquito bat not recommended

price rs 110/- . worth a try but may not last .

rechargeable . kills mosquitos by electrocuting them. fragile .

avoid falls and mechanical shocks. the wire mesh gets dislocated and shorted.

mine worked only for a month . therafter it failed to recharge.

voice operated chirper

this cute bird priced at rs 20 is a happy surprise.
it chirps when u make a large sound in the room.
comes in pleasant colours. can be kept on top of yr t v.
worked great for the last two weeks.

emergency light

this chinese product is value for moneyat ruppees 100.
this emergency light works as a torch
and as a lantern.
rechargeable . i have used it for the last one month
and it still charges ok.
handy useful and definitely cheap.

L E D bulbs

at rs 90 a piece the white LED bulb is not value for money.
gives very poor light . but the 3 colur bulb is good as a fancy item.
the emergency light costing about rs 1200 seems good.
gives good light and battery is expected to last long.
the small pen torch which comes free with certain amount
of purchase is really good looking and gives good light.
